So lately I have been making some crazy gains in the gym, getting so much stronger and basically surprising myself with the amount of weight that I am able to add every week. There are sometimes months and months where I can't seem to get any stronger, but the past few weeks have been truly amazing. I'm sure there are several factors: more sleep, less interruptions for my sleep, eating more food in the morning, resting more and most importantly...sticking to a consistent schedule.
Just when I seem to be making incredible gains, I came down with a scratchy throat and a fever which put a bit of a damper on todays workout. I know some people train through being sick, and I can't even imagine how or why they want to.....I'll take the rest and give my body a chance to recover:) I'm not losing any progress but missing a few days at the gym, it will be there next week, and the week after that.....so for now, just listening to my body and giving it a break. Since I eat to clean I always know that no harm will come out of a few missed days at the gym:)
