Bouncing back after too much Holiday fun:)

What does the New Year mean to you?  I don’t think I’m alone in saying that the Holidays (which were amazing this year:):) take their toll on many of our bodies.  I had a photo shoot in December, one week after Thanksging, and I fond it to be pretty challenging.  It’s easy to say “stay focused” until I’m at my mom’s house surrounded by home made fudge, chocolate chip cookies and russian teacakes.  As great as the holidays have been, I feel ready to get back on a clean eating plan, and focus on my fitness goals once again.  It’s pretty normal to overeat during the holidays, so I won’t beat myself up for it, but here are a few quick ways that I get my body back where it needs to be, as quickly as possible.

1.  I walk, and am more active whenever possible.  Hello stairs, goodbye elevator.  I take fewer taxis, and walk to work whenever possible, turn off the TV and do things in my house that I’ve been putting off.

2.  All workouts are in my calendar and I don’t skip, or shorten any.  I also add 4 minutes of intense, fat burning tabata to the end.

3.  Drink a large sized Fiji water every single day.

4.  Toss the sugar in my house.  Detox time:)  I still have sugar occasionally when I’m out, just not at home.

5.  Work hard to increase what I’m lifting and use the extra calories to my advantage.

6.  I write out weekly and monthly goals so that I have a clearly defined plan to map out my route to success!

Stay happy and healthy!
