I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire surrounded by trees, animals and lots of natural beauty. Although we didn't have a working farm, we had horses, chickens, ducks...you name it. One of the best things for me about growing up in the country was that I spent tons of time outside playing, riding horses and competing in every sport you can think of. I was a tomboy in the sense that I was happy to try anything, and wasn't afraid of much. I wasn't focused on physical beauty, and it almost never crossed my mind. Eventually I decided that I wanted to learn about that too and I read everything I could get my hands on, and learned how to make the best of what I had.
I studied hair, makeup, posture, motivation techniques, nutrition, fitness and etiquette all things that boost self confidence. I'm always very grateful for the fact that I spent all of my youth developing the part of me that truly matters the most, my brain and my heart. I do believe that taking care of what shows to the outside world is important as well, but there truly is no outer beauty without inner beauty. I spent 100 times learning about my inside as my outside. Who you are on the inside is a a big part of how beautiful you are on the outside. It's not just about looking good, it's about being good.
Today I am proud to be a WBFF Bikini Pro, Own my own award winning Salon in Boston, work as a fitness model and love and be loved by my many friends. As Tony Robbins said: "It's not what you can do, it's what you will do." and I believe that if I set my mind, I can do it all.
