Eating healthy at the Four Seasons Boston (Bristol Lounge)

The Bristol Lounge makes it very easy to eat out in a healthy way.  I've always found them to be very accommodating in regards to special preparation of food, or combinations of things which are not on the menu.  I have a few favorite things I order there, which are amazing and won’t derail your fitness progress:

• Order the burger in a lettuce wrap instead of the bun, and ask for a side of salad and skip the fries.

• Tuna tartar and side salad

• Steak or Salmon grilled with a side of asparagus

• Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Cocktail and a salad

• Any kind of protein on the menu prepared simply with no breading or sauces and a green veggie on the side.

Things to avoid?

• bread
• dairy
• sauces
• alcohol (sorry, it’s empty calories and doesn’t do a thing for your body:)  You can have a glass of wine and limit it to one:)
• dessert
• pasta

It’s so much fun to eat out and make healthy choices.  Once you get the hang of it you’ll find it isn’t hard at all:)

It’s not about looking good, it’s about being good:)
