Life is precious

I've been quiet for a few days, and wanted to check in for a few minutes to let you know that I am ok.  As some of you may know, I live in Boston, and in close proximately to where the bombings took place during the Boston Marathon last week.

I was driving home from a training session with Ben Bruno in North Andover when I started seeing an unbelievable number of police cars speed by with their blue lights flashing.  At first I thought that it was a bad accident, but minutes later I received the unthinkable news about the bombing.

I raced home, and met my friend Emily, who had been at my apartment helping me to prepare for an impending trip, and was able to take my sweet little dog to safety.  For a day or so, my house was closed off, because it is so close the the location of the bombing.

My city is really more of a town, a very big town.  I have so much trouble fathoming that anything like this could happen, but it did.  Today the weather is beautiful, birds are singing, sun is shining....something that Bostonians will usually talk about to no end, but there is quiet.

I have no wise and healing words, but will go back into life today.  Stay healthy, and live for the day.  Megan
