When I walk into the gym ready to lift, I see 90 percent of the women, maybe 10 percent in the weight section. Women are so worried about getting bulky, they wind up errrrrr, getting bulky. Not bulky with muscle mind you (as they are worried about) but bulky with fat) Fighting the fat war with cardio alone is a losing battle. WIth intense weight workouts it's possible to have a tight body, in less time than you think (if you're willing to put in the time. I truly believe that what most women think is "bulking up by using weights" is just bulking uo with fat. I do no cardio, eat sensibly (and in fairly large quantities) and am very lean. Yes, it's possible! I lift heavy (some might say like a man, but my exercises are tailored towards women) and I most definitely have a feminine body!
