One of the best ways to get ready for summer is to perform hip thruster exercises for a better butt. As a fitness competitor, I have to say that you become more aware of what looks great as far as physiques are concerned, and one thing that sets you apart is having a better butt. Many times when I've been at a competition and looked at a competitor, I thought that they looked amazing until they turned around and their glutes were lacking. It may sound shallow, but when you work hard to have an amazing butt, and do exercises using the hip thruster, everything looks better. Jeans, shorts, swimsuits.....There's definitely a new level of confidence when you improve your backside.
Before my first Bikini Competition I hadn't given much thought to my glutes, and generally thought that I looked good....until I saw my stage photos. When I saw the back shot it wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't exactlt stopping traffic and I knew I had to do something about it.
With the help of celebrity strength and conditioning coach Bret contreras who taught me a variety of hip thruster exercises for a better butt, I have been able to make amazing changes with glutes. Although I may not quite have the genetics that some girls have which allows them to have slightly larger glutes (yes I do try to build more glute size) I was able to lift and shape my glutes, and get rid of the dreaded horizontal lines that had appearred.
One of the things that I think is important when trying the shape your glutes is to avoid growing the quads too much, which can actually make the glutes look smaller (I know.....sad!) I have definitely found that doing hip thruster exercises for a better butt is the best thing to do when you want to be more shapely and toned, and to enhance your feminine curves. I have a hip thruster in my apartment and use it several times a week, not only to work my glutes, but also to get a great workout for my entire body.
